MY story
Where Nature Meets Art — Play, De-Stress, Be Curious, Be Enlightened
Natural2Revelations was born from a simple discovery: when you pound a fresh flower onto fabric or paper, something magical happens. The pigments transfer, the colors might surprise you, and for a moment, one may forget what was stressing you.
The craft
An ancient art, rediscovered.
Flora pounding — also known as hapa zome — is a Japanese technique that uses the natural pigments found in fresh flowers, leaves, and plants. By placing botanicals on watercolor paper, polyester cotton, or muslin and striking them with a hammer, you transfer their color directly onto the surface.
The results are never quite what you expect. A pink flower might reveal a deep, moody purple. A bright yellow bloom might leave behind a vivid chartreuse. Even the same flower pounded twice will look different — because nature doesn't repeat itself.
That unpredictability is the whole point. There's no wrong way to do it. There's no artistic skill required. You just pick up a hammer, choose your flora, and let the plant do the painting.

Meet the artist
Wearing the work. Living the craft.
That long-sleeve shirt? Pounded entirely with spring flowers — the front design mirrors the back, a technique that takes patience, intention, and a lot of happy hammering. Behind me are some of my framed mirror-creations, each one a yin-and-yang pair made from the same blooms, same moment, different sides.
I wear my art because I believe in it. Every piece I make — whether it's on fabric, muslin, or watercolor paper — starts with a living plant and ends with something that could never be repeated. That's what I want every guest at a pounding party to feel: you made something truly one of a kind.
The experience
More than a craft. It's a vibe.
A Natural2Revelations pounding party is equal parts art class, stress-relief session, and social gathering. You'll laugh. You'll be surprised. You'll leave with something beautiful you made with your own hands.
